Errata and retraction policy
he Journal of Advances in Education, Sciences and Humanities is committed to scientific and editorial integrity. Errors may occur in the publication process, so a policy is established to address errata, corrections, and retractions, ensuring transparency and confidence in the published content.
1. Errata
An errata notice will be issued to correct minor errors that do not significantly affect the article's results, interpretation, or conclusions. Examples of these errors include:
- Typographical errors.
- Omission of authors in the credits.
- Discrepancies in the details of affiliation or funding.
Procedure
- Authors or readers must notify the editor-in-chief of the error through the official journal email.
- After verification, the errata will be published in a subsequent journal issue and will include a reference to the original article.
2. Corrections
A correction is made when the error is significant but does not invalidate the work's conclusions. This includes non-critical methodological errors or missing relevant information.
Procedure
- The authors or editors identify the error and explain it.
- The correction will be published and linked to the original article, ensuring readers understand the change's nature and impact.
3. Retractions
A retraction is applied when the error is serious and compromises the scientific validity of the article, including but not limited to:
- Plagiarism.
- Data manipulation.
- Irreproducible results.
Procedure
- The authors, editors, or readers can initiate the retraction.
- Following an internal investigation, a retraction notice will be published with a detailed explanation of the reasons and, where possible, with evidence.
- The original article will remain accessible on the journal's website, marked as retracted, to preserve the scientific record.
4. Ethical guidelines
These actions follow the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other international standards of good editorial practice.
5. Transparency
All errata, corrections, and retractions notices will be open-access and directly linked to the affected article to ensure traceability.
