Authorship contributions policy
To promote transparency, the journal requires authors to detail the individual contributions of each author, regardless of the number of collaborators. CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) is a taxonomy of authorship roles that has been adopted by several scientific publishers for the management of publications. This taxonomy was developed in a collaborative workshop in 2012, led by Harvard University and the Wellcome Trust, with contributions from researchers, the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and publishers such as Elsevier, represented by Cell Press.
Only authors who have made significant and primary contributions should be included. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the reported contributions and the number of declared authors. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to evaluate authorship and, if any issues arise, to communicate them to the authors during the review process.
The authorship statement will be used only in research articles and clinical case studies. Authorship roles will be indicated in the following order: Conceptualization / Data Curation / Formal Analysis / Funding Acquisition / Research / Methodology / Project Administration / Resources / Software / Supervision / Validation / Visualization / Original Draft Writing / Writing, Review, and Editing.
Anyone who has contributed to the study but does not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged in the acknowledgments section. The order of authors will be determined based on their contributions to the work and should be agreed upon before submission. All authors are responsible for reviewing and approving the final manuscript before submission, acknowledging that they share collective responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the paper.
